In this post, let’s have a look at how to create a new Azure traffic manager profile.
You would need an active Azure subscription. If you don’t have an Azure subscription, create a free account now.
Create Traffic Manager Profile
Sign in to Azure Portal. Then search for Traffic Manager profiles in the top navigation search box. It should open a new Pane showing existing traffic manager profiles. Then click on Add button to add a new profile.
On new panel, provide below inputs:
- Name, unique name for the traffic manager
- Routing method, one of the 6 routing methods. Let’s select
- Subscription, a valid Azure subscription
- Resource group, the name of resource group under which this profile would be created
After providing above inputs, click on Create button.
The traffic manager profile would be created instantly. In next post, we will use this traffic manager with Azure web apps deployed in two different regions.
Let me know your suggestions/thoughts.
